Comprehensive management of your transportation processes with SAP TM

SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) offers integrated support for transport processes and a high level of transparency in business processes and freight costs. It facilitates flexible modeling of your transportation network and processes, along with full integration with other SAP solutions (SCM, S/4HANA, ECC, CRM, EWM, Event Management, EHS, GTS). SAP TM was developed for complex transport processes, and even the standard version (Basic Shipping) offers a wide range of functions. The solution can be used as an embedded TM component in SAP S/4HANA, or as a stand-alone solution. In summary, SAP Transportation Management is SAP’s strategic product for managing your transport processes.

Transportation planning

SAP TM offers an interactive and cost-effective way to configure your transports through a user-configurable transportation cockpit. In addition, you can use TM to optimize load capacity and consolidate shipping units. The planning process can be carried out manually or with full automation.

Carrying out transports

To help you complete transports, SAP TM's functions range from freight tendering via SMS, e-mail, or EDIs right through to track-and-trace for shipments. TM also provides support for the generation of shipping labels and shipping documents.

Freight cost management

With SAP TM, you can achieve transparency in your transportation costs and invoices. You can also automate your freight calculations and the downstream settlement processes.

Analysis and reporting

SAP TM supports your data-based, real-time decision making. It also reduces data complexity and enables you to collaborate more efficiently with your business partners.
