What is robotic process automation (RPA)?

Robotic process automation (RPA)

Robotic process automation (RPA) is a part of Industry 4.0 that represents the next stage in the automation of business processes. But instead of production process, it aims more at administrative and office activities. As a result, process costs can be cut significantly, process quality improved, and employee productivity greatly increased.

We find individual solutions for our customers in this area, such as in using RPA or mobile apps for employees to verify, match, and capture data in HR.

RPA enables companies to automate routine, rule-based tasks on a large scale. In this approach, individual roles or process steps are automated using software robots. RPA gives enterprises the possibility to configure these "bots" to map and interpret existing applications. The goals here include:

  • Processing transactions
  • Transforming data
  • Triggering responses
  • Communicating with other digital systems

RPA performs a variety of actions using the interfaces of existing applications, which relieves your employees of rote activities so they can concentrate on more important tasks. The technology does not require complex integration via programming interfaces (APIs), but it can cover background functions as needed.
