The globally active Scheer Group was founded by its sole owner Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer. The internationally recognized scientist is regarded as a pioneer of business informatics and, as an entrepreneur, political advisor, and outspoken visionary, has shaped the fields of process automation and digital transformation.

The Scheer Group sees itself as an innovation driver, having built its success on founding and scaling industry-leading IT companies. Beyond the Scheer Group, Prof. Scheer is also active in science and society: he established the August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute for Digital Products and Processes and the August-Wilhelm Scheer Foundation for Science and Art, and continues to support both organizations today. With the Scheer School of Digital Sciences, a joint venture with Saarland University, he has also made his mark on academic education and continuing professional development in future-oriented skills.
