My “Y” is: Listening, understanding, and driving change.

As a consultant, I am a translator, a bridge-builder, and a question-asker – always searching for the real “why”.

What’s your Y?

For Apostolos, the view behind the scenes is what really defines his job. As a Consultant at Scheer, he has found his own Y: I have no problem approaching people and asking questions, whether they’re colleagues or clients. My goal is always to understand why they say what they say, and why they do what they do. I ask myself: What’s behind it?

Open and authentic communication is always my top priority.

With a passion for good communication, Apostolos is driven by a desire to build genuine connections: “As consultants, we need to break down any resistance to change and build trust with our clients. That’s a challenging task — and the only way to do it is through clear, honest communication. That’s always my top priority.

Corporate culture as a project booster

Especially in large-scale projects, good collaboration is crucial, and according to Apostolos, company culture plays a key role here. He also sees the openness and passion for authentic communication reflected in team spirit: “We maintain an ‘open door policy’, so I can always approach management to say: ‘Hey, I have an idea’ or ‘I see a problem.’ Our ideas are heard – and that matters to me. And it doesn’t matter whether you are a junior, senior, or at C-level. If you’re goal-driven and a team player, you can go far here.”

Always keeping the goal in sight

Apostolos’ “Y” – listening, understanding, driving change – becomes especially clear when facing more challenging projects. At Scheer, it is not the obstacles that matter most, but finding a shared path to the solution: “What I truly love is that the Scheer Group in general, and our department in particular, are very goal-oriented. At the end of the day, what matters is that we stay focused on our goals. The focus is not on the difficulties that a certain project brings, but on the solutions we create as a team, and I really value that.”
